Is There Something in Your Eye?

How To Get The Beam Out of Your Eye and Stop Looking for The Specks In Others

Rabbin/Dr.  Deborah Brandt Ph.D.

Mat 7:2  For the way you judge others is how you will be judged—the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure to you.

Mat 7:3  Why do you see the splinter in your brother's eye but not notice the log in your own eye?

Mat 7:4  How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the splinter out of your eye,' when you have the log in your own eye?

Mat 7:5  You hypocrite! First, take the log out of your own eye; then you will see clearly, so that you can remove the splinter from your brother's eye!

In The Body of Messiah, we have all been guilty of this, especially with leadership.   Leaders are expected to overlook every flaw in the people they lead, however, they are not allowed to have any human frailty or weakness.  Our lives are put under the microscope and heaven forbid if a blemish pops up and we are found not to be perfect but flawed.

I am not speaking about overlooking sins like adultery or sins that have no place in any believer’s life.   I am talking about shortcomings, that we all have and have 20/20 vision when it comes to someone else’s flaws, but our totally blind to our own.

However, the fact is if we were truthful with ourselves we all are a work in progress and we are imperfect people, living in an imperfect sinful world, trying our best to be perfect in other’s eyes.  Trying to gain the approval of men instead of God.

We are all experts on other people’s faults, in fact, we are Ph.D.s in the school of criticism of others.   Yes, I am just as guilty as anyone.  When someone points out my faults, I am crushed, because I feel like I have failed in being the perfect leader that God has called me to be. And yes, I have to fight pride and anger and allow the Ruach HaKodesh to do the repair work and restoration work He needs to do within me so I can help others be restored.

The only perfect leader and person who ever walked upon this Earth was and is Yeshua.

We expect our leaders to show us, Grace, in our frailties, however, do we do the same thing in return to those who lead?  Do we allow them occasionally to be human, not perfect?

Yes, we are to correct in a spirit of love, lest we find ourselves in the same situation as the one who is being corrected.   However, some believers feel that God has called them to be the national fruit inspectors of others' spiritual fruit, but not their own.

As we look at the great men and women of God in the Bible, most of them were not perfect, they had flaws, yet God still used them and even put them in His Book so we could learn from both their failures and their successes.

When we are criticized or corrected by others, what is our reaction?  Are we angry or thankful? Do we take a good hard look at ourselves and ask God to help us overcome the faults in our lives?  Are we crushed and bruised and run to the Father for healing and forgiveness?

I tend to be a perfectionist, a flaw I have been working on my whole life.   This was due to childhood experiences and trauma that did not go away the minute I was Born Again, no I am a work in progress, but every day I am victorious.

So, when I am corrected, especially by others who are flawed as well, I feel like I have failed God and others.  No one is more grieved then myself when I feel that I have been a disappointment to others.   However, I am so thankful that the God we serve, Baruch HaShem, is bigger than our flaws.

Here is a list of some great people of faith in the Bible that probably would be the least likely to be used by God in man's opinion, but God saw the heart and willingness to repent and serve Him.

Abraham – Lied about Sarah being his wife because of fear

Gen_20:2  And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

Moses - disobeyed God’s instruction to speak to the Rock

Num_20:10  And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

Num_20:11  And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

Miriam-  spoke against Moses committing Lashon Hara

Num 12:1  Miryam and Aharon began criticizing Moshe on account of the Ethiopian woman he had married, for he had in fact married an Ethiopian woman.

Num 12:2  They said, "Is it true that Adonai has spoken only with Moshe? Hasn't he spoken with us too?" Adonai heard them.

Num 12:8  With him I speak face to face and clearly, not in riddles; he sees the image of Adonai. So why weren't you afraid to criticize my servant Moshe?"

Num 12:9  The anger of Adonai flared up against them, and he left.

Num 12:10  But when the cloud was removed from above the tent, Miryam had tzara`at, as white as snow. Aharon looked at Miryam, and she was as white as snow.

Aaron-  allowed the people to build a Golden Calf

Exo 32:2  Aharon said to them, "Have your wives, sons and daughters strip off their gold earrings; and bring them to me."

Exo 32:3  The people stripped off their gold earrings and brought them to Aharon.

Exo 32:4  He received what they gave him, melted it down, and made it into the shape of a calf. They said, "Isra'el! Here is your god, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!"

Exo 32:5  On seeing this, Aharon built an altar in front of it and proclaimed, "Tomorrow is to be a feast for Adonai." CJB

Samson- Chased the wrong kind of woman

dg_16:9  Now she had men lying in ambush in an inner chamber. And she said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he snapped the bowstrings, as a thread of flax snaps when it touches the fire. So the secret of his strength was not known.

Jdg_16:10  Then Delilah said to Samson, "Behold, you have mocked me and told me lies. Please tell me how you might be bound."

Jdg_16:12  So Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And the men lying in ambush were in an inner chamber. But he snapped the ropes off his arms like a thread.

Jdg_16:13  Then Delilah said to Samson, "Until now you have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me how you might be bound." And he said to her, "If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web and fasten it tight with the pin, then I shall become weak and be like any other man."

Jdg_16:14  So while he slept, Delilah took the seven locks of his head and wove them into the web. And she made them tight with the pin and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he awoke from his sleep and pulled away the pin, the loom, and the web.

David - had an affair with a married woman and had her husband killed

2Sa 11:1  In the spring, at the time when kings go out to war, David sent out Yo'av, his servants who were with him and all Isra'el. They ravaged the people of `Amon and laid siege to Rabbah. But David stayed in Yerushalayim.

2Sa 11:2  Once, after his afternoon nap, David got up from his bed and went strolling on the roof of the king's palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing, who was very beautiful.

2Sa 11:3  David made inquiries about the woman and was told that she was Bat-Sheva the daughter of Eli`am, the wife of Uriyah the Hitti.

2Sa 11:4  David sent messengers to get her, and she came to him, and he went to bed with her (for she had been purified from her uncleanness). Then she returned to her house.

2Sa 11:5  The woman conceived; and she sent a message to David, "I am pregnant."

2Sa 11:14  In the morning David wrote a letter to Yo'av and sent it with Uriyah.

2Sa 11:15  In the letter he wrote, "Put Uriyah on the front lines of the fiercest fighting; then pull back from him, so that he will be wounded and killed."

Jonah - ran from God’s calling

Jon 1:1  The word of Adonai came to Yonah the son of Amitai:

Jon 1:2  "Set out for the great city of Ninveh, and proclaim to it that their wickedness has come to my attention."

Jon 1:3  But Yonah, in order to get away from Adonai, prepared to escape to Tarshish. He went down to Yafo, found a ship headed for Tarshish, paid the fare and went aboard, intending to travel with them to Tarshish and get away from Adonai.

Peter - denied he was a follower of Yeshua prior to the resurrection

Mat 26:30  After singing the Hallel, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Mat 26:31  Yeshua then said to them, "Tonight you will all lose faith in me, as the Tanakh says, 'I will strike the shepherd dead, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'

Mat 26:32  But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you into the Galil."

Mat 26:33  "I will never lose faith in you," Kefa answered, "even if everyone else does."

Mat 26:34  Yeshua said to him, "Yes! I tell you that tonight before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!"

Mat 26:35  "Even if I must die with you," Kefa replied, "I will never disown you!" And all the talmidim said the same thing

Mat 26:69  Kefa was sitting outside in the courtyard when a servant girl came up to him. "You too were with Yeshua from the Galil," she said.

Mat 26:70  But he denied it in front of everyone—"I don't know what you're talking about!"

Mat 26:71  He went out onto the porch, and another girl saw him and said to the people there, "This man was with Yeshua of Natzeret."

Mat 26:72  Again he denied it, swearing, "I don't know the man!"

Paul – killed followers of Yeshua

Act 8:1  and Sha'ul gave his approval to his murder. Starting with that day, there arose intense persecution against the Messianic Community in Yerushalayim; all but the emissaries were scattered throughout the regions of Y'hudah and Shomron.

Act 8:2  Some godly men buried Stephen and mourned him deeply.

Act 8:3  But Sha'ul set out to destroy the Messianic Community—entering house after house, he dragged off both men and women and handed them over to be put in prison. CJB

John called Mark – was considered useless by Paul

(Act 15:36 TLV)  After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return and visit the brothers and sisters in every city where we have proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are.”

(Act 15:37 TLV)  Barnabas was planning to take along John, called Mark.

(Act 15:38 TLV)  But Paul was insisting that they shouldn’t take him along—the one who had deserted them in Pamphylia, not accompanying them in the work.

(Act 15:39 TLV)  A sharp disagreement took place, so that they split off from one another. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus.

(Act 15:40 TLV)  But Paul selected Silas and went out, being entrusted by the brothers and sisters to the gracious care of the Lord.

(Act 15:41 TLV)  He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the communities.

Did God overlook their sin?  No, but it did not stop Him from restoring them and using them because He saw something in them that no one could see – FAITH and a BROKEN SPIRIT of REPENTANCE.

Forgiveness and Restoration

We should always pray that if a brother has fallen, or minister that they be restored.  I am shocked by how people have websites and blogs dedicated to destroying people’s lives and ministries because they don’t agree with them.

The Bible does speak about a procedure when sin is found in the Body of Messiah, but it also speaks of restoration as well.

We need to guard against the sin of a haughty self-righteous spirit, where we are quick to criticize others but not look into our own failings and faults.

Jas 4:11  Brothers, stop speaking against each other! Whoever speaks against a brother or judges a brother is speaking against Torah and judging Torah. And if you judge Torah, you are not a doer of what Torah says, but a judge.

Jas 4:12  There is but one Giver of Torah; he is also the Judge, with the power to deliver and to destroy. Who do you think you are, judging your fellow human being?

1Jn 5:16  If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will ask; and God will give him life for those whose sinning does not lead to death. There is sin that does lead to death; I am not saying he should pray about that.

1Jn 5:17  All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

1Jn 5:18  We know that everyone who has God as his Father does not go on sinning; on the contrary, the Son born of God protects him, and the Evil One does not touch him.

1Jn 5:19  We know that we are from God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the Evil One.

1Jn 5:20  And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment, so that we may know who is genuine; moreover, we are united with the One who is genuine, united with his Son Yeshua the Messiah. He is the genuine God and eternal life.

1Jn 5:21  Children, guard yourselves against false gods! CJB

Mat 18:15  "Moreover, if your brother commits a sin against you, go and show him his fault—but privately, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother.

Mat 18:16  If he doesn't listen, take one or two others with you so that every accusation can be supported by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Mat 18:17  If he refuses to hear them, tell the congregation; and if he refuses to listen even to the congregation, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax-collector.  CJB

Yeshua the restorer

Luk 22:31  "Shim`on, Shim`on, listen! The Adversary demanded to have you people for himself, to sift you like wheat!

Luk 22:32  But I prayed for you, Shim`on, that your trust might not fail. And you, once you have turned back in repentance, strengthen your brothers!"

Repentance is a gift from the Father to bring Restoration to His people.  In turn, when a brother truly repents, we are to receive them back and also not keep a record and remind them what they did wrong.

Mat 6:12  Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged us. CJB

Eph_4:32  Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you. CJB

Col_3:13  Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive. CJB

1Jn_1:9  If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing. CJB

Nobody is above being corrected scripturally, however if you are one who corrects people, then you need to be willing to be corrected as well.  However Words can Heal and Words can Kill, so use them wisely and bring healing and restoration.

Compassion and Mercy

Jas 3:18  And peacemakers who sow seed in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

Psa 19:12  Who can discern inintentional sins? Cleanse me from hidden faults.

How come we can so easily discern the faults of others, yet we do not deal with our own hidden faults?  We need to ask the Ruach HaKodesh to search our hearts and to help us with our own faults.

Psa 139:23  Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Psa 139:24  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Mat 23:23  "Woe to you hypocritical Torah-teachers and P'rushim! You pay your tithes of mint, dill and cumin; but you have neglected the weightier matters of the Torah—justice, mercy, trust. These are the things you should have attended to—without neglecting the others! CJB

Mat 9:13  As for you, go and learn what this means: 'I want compassion rather than animal-sacrifices.' For I didn't come to call the 'righteous,' but sinners!" CJB

  • Treat people the way you want to be treated.
  • Forgive people the way you want to be forgiven.
  • Restore the broken, just like you would want to be restored.
  • Speak about people the way you want to be spoken about.
  • Love people the way you want to be loved and the way Yeshua loves you.
  • See yourself the way the Father sees you, Holy, blameless and righteous In Messiah.
  • Respect others the way you want to be respected.
  • Instead of looking at a person’s faults, find something about them that is good.
  • Pray for those who are struggling and hurting and need deliverance, the same way you would want someone to pray for you when you are struggling.

Gal 6:1  Brothers, suppose someone is caught doing something wrong. You who have the Spirit should set him right, but in a spirit of humility, keeping an eye on yourselves so that you won't be tempted too.

Gal 6:2  Bear one another's burdens—in this way you will be fulfilling the Torah's true meaning, which the Messiah upholds.

Gal 6:3  For if anyone thinks he is something when he is really nothing, he is fooling himself.

Gal 6:4  So let each of you scrutinize his own actions. Then if you do find something to boast about, at least the boasting will be based on what you have actually done and not merely on a judgment that you are better than someone else;

Gal 6:5  for each person will carry his own load. CJB

We need to make Love a way of Life. Not only with those who love us, but also with those who do not love us.

Luk 6:27  Nevertheless, to you who are listening, what I say is this: "Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you,

Luk 6:28  bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Luk 6:29  "If someone hits you on one cheek, offer the other too; if someone takes your coat, let him have your shirt as well.

Luk 6:30  "If someone asks you for something, give it to him; if someone takes what belongs to you, don't demand it back.

Luk 6:31  "Treat other people as you would like them to treat you.

Luk 6:32  What credit is it to you if you love only those who love you? Why, even sinners love those who love them.

Luk 6:33  What credit is it to you if you do good only to those who do good to you? Even sinners do that.

Luk 6:34  What credit is it to you if you lend only to those who you expect will pay you back? Even sinners lend to each other, expecting to be repaid in full.

Luk 6:35  But love your enemies, do good, and lend expecting nothing back! Your reward will be great, and you will be children of Ha`Elyon; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.

Luk 6:36  Show compassion, just as your Father shows compassion. CJB

1Co 13:1  I may speak in the tongues of men, even angels; but if I lack love, I have become merely blaring brass or a cymbal clanging.

1Co 13:2  I may have the gift of prophecy, I may fathom all mysteries, know all things, have all faith—enough to move mountains; but if I lack love, I am nothing.

1Co 13:3  I may give away everything that I own, I may even hand over my body to be burned; but if I lack love, I gain nothing.

1Co 13:4  Love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful,

1Co 13:5  not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.

1Co 13:6  Love does not gloat over other people's sins but takes its delight in the truth.

1Co 13:7  Love always bears up, always trusts, always hopes, always endures.

I am so grateful, that God looked past my faults and loved me anyway, and forgave me anyway and made me His child, as imperfect as I am.  Praise The Almighty for His gift of repentance and forgiveness so we can continue to be perfected in Messiah Yeshua, for His Kingdom and His Glory.

Lets us pray as David prayed, in true humility

Psa 51:1  [For the leader. A psalm of David,

Psa 51:2  when Natan the prophet came to him after his affair with Bat-Sheva:]

Psa 51:3  God, in your grace, have mercy on me; in your great compassion, blot out my crimes.

Psa 51:4  Wash me completely from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin.

Psa 51:5  For I know my crimes, my sin confronts me all the time.

Psa 51:6  Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil from your perspective; so that you are right in accusing me and justified in passing sentence.

Psa 51:7  True, I was born guilty, was a sinner from the moment my mother conceived me.

Psa 51:8  Still, you want truth in the inner person; so make me know wisdom in my inmost heart.

Psa 51:9  Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Psa 51:10  Let me hear the sound of joy and gladness so that the bones you crushed can rejoice.

Psa 51:11  Turn away your face from my sins and blot out all my crimes.

Psa 51:12  Create in me a clean heart, God; renew in me a resolute spirit.

Psa 51:13  Don't thrust me away from your presence, don't take your Ruach Kodesh away from me.

Psa 51:14  Restore my joy in your salvation and let a willing spirit uphold me.

Psa 51:15  Then I will teach the wicked your ways, and sinners will return to you.

Psa 51:16  Rescue me from the guilt of shedding blood, God, God of my salvation! Then my tongue will sing about your righteousness

Psa 51:17  Adonai, open my lips; then my mouth will praise you.

Psa 51:18  For you don't want sacrifices, or I would give them; you don't take pleasure in burnt offerings.

Psa 51:19  My sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God, you won't spurn a broken, chastened heart.

CJB

Thursday, December 29, 2022

 Shalom Mishpocha,

First, we want to thank you for your support, not just financially, but your love and prayers as well.  We know that this has been a rough year for all of us, yet we are more than conquerors through Messiah Yeshua.

(1Co 15:50 TLV)  Now I say this, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and what decays cannot inherit what does not decay.

(1Co 15:51 TLV)  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—

(1Co 15:52 TLV)  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

(1Co 15:53 TLV)  For this corruptible must put on incorruptibility , and this mortal must put on immortality.

(1Co 15:54 TLV)  But when this corruptible will have put on incorruptibility and this mortal will have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

(1Co 15:55 TLV)  “Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?”

(1Co 15:56 TLV)  Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Torah.

(1Co 15:57 TLV)  But thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah!

(1Co 15:58 TLV)  Therefore, my dearly loved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord—because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

We all have had our battles, there is no believer who is exempt from spiritual warfare, but He has told us to be strong in Him and the power of His MIGHT, not our might, but His Might.

(Eph 6:10 AMP+)  In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might.

We may not have everything we want, but He will provide all our NEEDS, in our ministry, our families and in what He has called us to do for His Kingdom.  We must keep our minds on Him and what He has called us each to do.

(Php 4:19 TLV)  My God will fulfill every need of yours according to the riches of His glory in Messiah Yeshua.

(Isa 26:3 TLV)  You keep in perfect peace/shalom one whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

(Isa 26:4 TLV)  Trust in Adonai forever, for the LORD Adonai is a Rock of ages.

(Php 4:8 AMP+)  Finally, N1believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God's word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

What a privilege it is to serve Him, to be loved by Him in Messiah Yeshua.  At times, the enemy would have us think that we are losing the battle, but he is a liar, everyday that we walk with Abba and Messiah Yeshua we are defeating the Kingdom of hasatan.  We need to continually thank Him daily, for everyday that we can serve His Kingdom.

(Isa 40:31 AMP+)  But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired. [Heb_12:1-3]

(Heb 12:1 AMP+)  Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of N1witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God's absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,

(Heb 12:2 AMP+)  [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, N1disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. [Psa_110:1]

(Heb 12:3 AMP+)  Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

The Father knows all the tests and trials you have endured, and He has not forgotten your labor of love for His Kingdom

(Heb 6:10 AMP+)  For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown for His name in ministering to [the needs of] the saints (God's people), as you do.

(Heb 6:11 AMP+)  And we desire for each one of you to show the same diligence [all the way through] so as to realize and enjoy the full assurance of hope until the end,

(Heb 6:12 AMP+)  so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.

He sees every tear you have shed for your family, for the lost and the test and trials you have endured for the sake of the Gospel/Besorah of Messiah

(Psa 126:5 TLV)  Those who sow in tears will reap with a song of joy.

(Psa 126:6 TLV)  Whoever keeps going out weeping, carrying his bag of seed, will surely come back with a song of joy, carrying his sheaves.

What a privileged it is to be His Servant and that He has called us for such a time as this!

(Est 4:13 CJB)  asked them to give Ester this answer: "Don't suppose that merely because you happen to be in the royal palace you will escape any more than the other Jews.

(Est 4:14 CJB)  For if you fail to speak up now, relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from a different direction; but you and your father's family will perish. Who knows whether you didn't come into your royal position precisely for such a time as this."

We all have a calling and purpose, and as a Community we are stronger when we unite in His plans and purposes vs individually.  That is the purpose of Community…

(Ecc 4:9 TLV)  Two are better than one, because they get a good return for their effort.

(Ecc 4:10 TLV)  For if they fall, the one will lift up his companion. But oy to the one who falls and has no one to lift him up!

(Ecc 4:11 TLV)  Furthermore, if two lie together, then they will be warm. But how can one keep warm alone?

We need to fight the distractions that take us away from His plan for our lives in the coming year 2023/5783 and be committed to walking in obedience to His calling and His purpose for our lives.  We need to prepare ourselves for the Wedding Feast of Messiah Yeshua.  Things may be getting darker, but we are walking in the light and have a great eternal future to look forward to as we serve Him faithfully in the years, He has allotted us in this life.  Everyday is a new beginning in Him and we need to draw even closer to Him and one another in the days to come and seek first His kingdom, then all things will be added unto us that we need to fulfill what He has called us to do, for HIS IS FAITHFUL.

(Mat 6:25 AMP+)  "Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? [Luk_12:22-31]

(Mat 6:26 AMP+)  Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

(Mat 6:27 AMP+)  And who of you by worrying can add one N1hour to [the length of] his life? [Psa_39:5-7]

(Mat 6:28 AMP+)  And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing],

(Mat 6:29 AMP+)  yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these. [1Ki_10:4-7]

(Mat 6:30 AMP+)  But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

(Mat 6:31 AMP+)  Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, 'What are we going to eat?' or 'What are we going to drink?' or 'What are we going to wear?'

(Mat 6:32 AMP+)  For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

(Mat 6:33 AMP+)  But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right--the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.

(Mat 6:34 AMP+)  "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Guard your hearts and your minds, sift everything you hear through His Word as the final authority because there is a lot of deception and the enemy wants to plant seeds of doubt in our minds, but when we make His Word the final authority we will not be led astray by false teachings.  We need to draw close to Him and keep Him first place in our hearts and minds and be His faithful followers.  We are never alone because He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, our family and friends might forsake us because of the stand we take for His truth, but He has promised to give us a spiritual family in Him

(Heb 13:5 TLV)  Keep your lifestyle free from the love of money, and be content with what you have. For God Himself has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you,”

(Heb 13:6 TLV)  so that with confidence we say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What will man do to me?”

(Mar 10:29 TLV)  “Amen, I tell you,” Yeshua replied, “there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for My sake and for the sake of the Good News,

(Mar 10:30 TLV)  who will not receive a hundred times as much now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and property, along with persecutions; and in the olam ha-ba, eternal life.

(Mar 10:31 TLV)  But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

 Shalom In Yeshua;

We are in the process of updating our book "40 Days of Teshuva to Yom Kippur" (expanded Edition) for next year's Fall Feasts.  We have added audio to our website to go with the book and prayers to go with the daily readings and will be making some minor edits to the book as well.

Also be watching for our new series "Sitting At The Feet of Yeshua".  It is a 12 volume Daily Bible Reading and Bible Study for every day of the year.

To Him be All the Glory and Praise and Honor!

If My People Who Are Called By My Name

Prayer of Repentance for The Body of Messiah

Judgement starts in The House of God.  As servants of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Yaacov and Talmidim of Yeshua The Messiah, during this month of Ellul we need to repent of our complacency and apathy with regards to straying from His command to preach the Gospel and make Talmidim/Disciples for the Kingdom.

We have become a Church of entertainment and ear tickling instead of people who preach the truth whether people like it or not.

We need to repent of the "evil eye" of greed and not supporting the true work of God with our tithes and offerings, so that ministries who are teaching and preaching the truth can fulfill what God has called them to do.  There is a remnant that has not compromised and has sacrificed much to train people and reach the lost.  However, their hands are tied, because the God's people refuse to trust God for their needs, and refuse to build the Spiritual House of YHVH.

God warned Israel many times of the cost of compromise and idolatry, now we as His people are living in a country, here in America where socialism and the loss of our freedom is knocking at our door.  The blood that so many young men have shed from the Revolutionary War until present for our freedom, is minutes from being taken away from us if we do not sincerely repent and return to His Ways, His rules, His Laws/Teaching and Instructions.

The Prophets of old warned Israel that if they did not repent judgement would come and they would be driven from the land and the blessings.  However, if they repented and returned to the Covenant of Adonai, He would bless them.  Do we take God seriously?  Do we think we can sin and walk in disobedience and get away with it?  Have we mocked and trampled the blood of Yeshua under our feet by turning from His Truth and allowing the enemy to take over?

Now is the time TO RETURN and perhaps, He will give us more time to finish the work He has called us to do, to prepare the way for Messiah Yeshua's return.

Prayer of Solomon

1Ki 8:30  “So listen to the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive!

1Ki 8:31  If a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath, then comes and swears before Your altar in this House,

1Ki 8:32  then hear from heaven and act and judge Your servants, condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous, giving him according to his righteousness.

1Ki 8:33  “When Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy, because they have sinned against You, if they turn back to You and confess Your Name and pray and make supplication to You in this House,

1Ki 8:34  then hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers.

1Ki 8:35  “When the skies are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, yet if they pray toward this place and confess Your Name and turn from their sin because You have afflicted them,

1Ki 8:36  then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of Your servants and Your people Israel. Teach them the good way in which they should walk, and send rain on Your land which You gave to Your people as an inheritance.

1Ki 8:37  “If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there be blight or mildew, locust or caterpillar, if their enemy should besiege them in the land of their cities, whatever plague or sickness,

1Ki 8:38  when prayer or supplication is made by anyone or by all Your people Israel—each knowing the plague of his own heart—when one spreads his hands toward this House,

1Ki 8:39  then may you hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, forgive and act, and give to each man according to all his ways, as You know his heart to be. For You alone know the hearts of all the children of men.

1Ki 8:40  Then they will fear You all the days that they live in the land that You gave to our fathers.

Prayer of Daniel

Dan 9:4  “I prayed to Adonai my God and confessed, saying: ‘O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His mitzvot,

Dan 9:5  we have sinned; we have committed iniquity; we have acted wickedly; we have rebelled; we have turned away from Your mitzvot and from Your rulings.

Dan 9:6  We have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our leaders and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

Dan 9:7  “‘You Lord are righteousness, but shame covers our face to this day—the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and all Israel, near and far, in all the countries where you have banished them—because they behaved unfaithfully toward you.

Dan 9:8  Adonai, shame covers our face—our kings, our leaders, our fathers—because we have sinned against you.

Dan 9:9  The Lord our God is compassionate and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against Him.

Dan 9:10  We have not obeyed the voice of Adonai Eloheinu by walking in His Torah that He set before us through His servants the prophets.

Dan 9:11  Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your Torah and has turned away—not obeying Your voice. “‘Therefore the curse and sworn judgment written in the Torah of Moses the servant of God has been poured out upon us, for we have sinned against Him.

Dan 9:12  So He has confirmed His words that he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled over us by bringing on us a great calamity. Under the whole heaven nothing like this has ever been done to Jerusalem!

Dan 9:13  As it is written in the Torah of Moses, all this calamity came on us, yet we have not sought the favor of Adonai Eloheinu by turning away from our iniquities and paying attention to Your truth.

Dan 9:14  So Adonai was intent on bringing the calamity upon us, for Adonai Eloheinu is righteous in all His deeds that He has done—while we have not paid attention to His voice.

Dan 9:15  “‘So now, Adonai Eloheinu, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and made for Yourself a Name to this day—we have sinned, we have acted wickedly.

Dan 9:16  Lord, in keeping with all Your righteous acts, let Your anger and Your fury turn away, please, from Jerusalem, Your city, Your holy mountain. Because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become an object of scorn to all those around us.

Dan 9:17  ‘So now, our God, listen to the prayers and petitions of Your servant, and cause Your face to shine upon Your devastated Sanctuary, for the sake of my Lord.

Dan 9:18  Give ear, my God, and hear! Open Your eyes and see our desolation and the city called by Your name. We do not present our supplications before You because of our own righteousness, but because of Your great compassions.

Dan 9:19  Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, listen and act! For Your own sake, O my God, do not delay! For Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

Prayer of Nehemiah

Neh 1:4  Upon hearing these words I sat down and wept and mourned for days. I prayed and fasted before the God of heaven.

Neh 1:5  Then I said: “Adonai, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps the covenant and lovingkindness with those who love Him and keep His mitzvot,

Neh 1:6  please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your servant that I am praying before You today both day and night on behalf of Your servants, the Bnei-Yisrael. I am confessing the sins of Bnei-Yisrael that we have sinned against You—yes, I and my ancestral house have sinned.

Neh 1:7  We have acted very corruptly against You. We have not kept the mitzvot, the statutes, nor the rulings that You commanded Your servant Moses.

Neh 1:8  “Please recall the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you act unfaithfully, I will scatter you among the peoples,

Neh 1:9  but if you return to Me and obey My mitzvot, and do them, then even if your dispersed people are at the ends of the heavens, I will gather them from there, and bring them back to the place where I have chosen for My Name to dwell.

Neh 1:10  They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great strength and by Your mighty hand.

Neh 1:11  Please, my Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and to the prayer of Your servants who delight in revering Your Name. Give Your servant success today and grant compassion in the presence of this man.” Now I was cupbearer to the king.

Prayer of Ezra

Ezr 9:5  At the time of the evening offering, I rose up from my self-abasement with my garment and robe torn, then I bowed down on my knees and spread out my hands to Adonai my God.

Ezr 9:6  I prayed, “O my God, I am ashamed and humiliated to lift up my face to You, my God! For our iniquities are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens.

Ezr 9:7  From the days of our fathers to this day our guilt has been great. Because of our iniquities we, our kings and our kohanim have been subjected to the sword, to captivity, to plunder and to humiliation at the hand of the kings of the lands, as it is today.

Ezr 9:8  But now for a brief moment Adonai our God has shown us favor in leaving us a remnant and giving us as a peg in His holy place. Thus our God has enlightened our eyes and has given us a little relief in our bondage.

Ezr 9:9  Though we are slaves, our God has not forsaken us in our bondage. He has extended lovingkindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, reviving us in order to restore the House of our God, to raise up its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

Ezr 9:10  “So now, our God, what should we say after this? For we have forsaken Your mitzvot

Ezr 9:11  that You commanded through Your servants the prophets saying, ‘The land that you are entering to possess is a land defiled by the impurities of the peoples of the lands. Through their abominations, they have filled it from one end to the other with their uncleanness.

Ezr 9:12  Therefore, do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek their shalom or their welfare, so that you may be strong, eat the good things of the land and leave it as an inheritance for your children forever.

Ezr 9:13  “After everything that has happened to us because of our evil deeds and our great guilt—for You, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and given us a remnant such as this—

Ezr 9:14  shall we once again break Your mitzvot and intermarry with the peoples who commit such detestable actions as these? Would You not be angry enough with us to destroy us, leaving us no remnant or survivor?

Ezr 9:15  Adonai, God of Israel, You are righteous, for we are left this day as a remnant. Behold, here we are before You in our guilt; because of it no one can stand before You.
